Default Dielectric grease

Could dielectric grease packed into a sensor male/female plug stop the signal going from the ECU to that sensor.

What is the correct way to use dielectric grease...I keep reading contradicting information on the internet.

I believe if the grease is non-conductive then you wouldnt want it any where near a low voltage plug that needed a good clean contact
