I have a 24 ft pontoon purchased in 4/2009 warranty through 4/14. The first time out this year idled rougher than I recall last year. Top speed is aroiund 4500 RPM normally this year between 3,000 and 3,500 is tops. Was cruising at 3,500 last weekend and it died. Started right back up and died again. Glad was only 1/4 mile from home dock.

Pressure ball was hard, hose had a small kink replaced gas hose from connection to motor. Tried nothing else because of warranty. I have been informed it will take 3 weeks to get in mercury authorized marina for repairs.

Is there anything I can try that will not harm the warranty and allow me to use my boat at least part of this season?

I thought about plugs but did not want to do anything without talking to you all first. Any help would be appreciated.
