I have a 90hp Mercury that I bought few days ago. It cranks and runs fine in the yard with the water hose. I got everything checked out took it to the lake and made 5 rounds it died no warning . Now it will not crank it acts like its not getting fire in the plugs. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Check compression, check for spark at spark plugs, check for water in gas.
