90 hp fuel consumption

hi, anyone out there has some suggestions--- i have a 1998 model 90 hp 2 stroke.It came with a boat i recently purchased. On checking the fuel consumption it goes through a full tank of gas (20 liters) in approx 8 nauticle miles with the boat on the plane and at 3/4 throttle. To me this seems quite high , can anyone tell me if this is the normal consumption for this model. Thanks ---monsoonpaddle

The throttle range on that motor is 5000-5500 rpm's, if prop to high side of rpm range it will get the best fuel economy.
