What kit would I need to convert my 2005 Mercury 9.9 ELH 45, s/n ORO60862from the tiller shift/throttle control to a mechanical remote shift and throttle. Also, does the Kit have adequate instructions for the DIY person or would one need a manual........Thanks.....Bill

There is instructions that come with kit.

The only electric on my 9.9 OB is the starter. The tiller shift/throttle control is mechanical, not electrical. Both functions, shift and throttle, are controlled by a series of cables and pulleys. I wont a mechanical kit that will enable me to connect a mechanical remote throttle and shift to the OB.
Note-this OB is made by someone other than Mercury. The Cowling is the only thing that is Mercury.

It is for an electric start model with tiller handle, it is mechanical shift and throttle.

Those parts are included in 895284A01 CONVERSION KIT, the kit is for converting a tiller handle model to be used a remote control.
