Can't figure this one out. The motor starts right up and runs fine till i make a run of 10min or so at wot. Once i go back to idle the motor dies and it will not start. If i wait 5-10 min it will start back up. I have rebuilt the fuel pump and cleaned the carburetor, and the engine idles fine when it is first started. What else should i look at?

Also what carb kit would i need to rebuild it. (i don't think it needs it but running out of options. Some reason when i rebuilt the fuel pump the kit from the 20hp fit it and not the one for the 25hp. So now i don't know what carb kit i'll need.

Warm the engine and run a compression test to see if cylinders are even. Check the gas tank vent and make sure is open.

compression is even on both 120. I have a new carb kit coming tomorrow 1399-8153 but it doesn't come with the inlet needle and everywhere i look says it isn't available anymore?

So far i have done the following. new stator new switch box new gas tank new gas lines.

carb kit didn't help i need the inlet needle. I can't find it or the carb all are NLA. Anyone see a problem retofitting to the carb for the 84+ 13908889A9. From what i read it will line up but there are 4 hole's unlike the two that i have now. I don't really care about the choke lining up i can make that work some other way.
