My lower unit don't work. I was motoring back to harbor when it sounded like it popped out of gear I shut down and checked cable and everything seemed fine. The only problem prop won,t spin in forward or reverse. At home I spun the prop by hand with it out of gear, no problem. Put in forward won't spin in one direction and rachets it the other. Same thing in reverse. Tried turning motor over with it and gear and the prop does'nt turn, Whats Up?

Found out what happen to lower unit. The drive shaft pinion slit in 2. Don't know how or why.
