Hi All,
I hope someone can help me here.
I have a 2003 115 merc 2 stroke saltwater series outboard.
'Sometimes' mostly after cruising, after I come down to an idle, the idle is real low (down to 600 rpm from the set 1200 rpm). When I try to get back on plane, it's like it's missing totaly on a cylinder. Then I give it more throttle and the rpms come up and then it will start firing the dead cylinder and take off fine.
The carbs are spotless and it's tuned perfect.
I noticed the squirter gets it's fuel from the high pressure side of the fuel pump, then goes into the squirter unit, then out to the nozzles on the port side of the head. On the line going from the squirter unit to the nozzles, it splits. One line goes to the nozzles and one line goes back to the fuel line running into the fuel pump.
Is this wrong? Wouldn't that allow the nozzles to suck up fuel whenever they wanted to?
please help.

spark is purple, carbs are clean, compression is good.
