When I put my motor in forward it does not go in gear right away and starts making gear grinding noises and eventually goes into forward and runs fine, but does this everytime I put it into gear from neutral. After taking the prop off and looking with a friend that knows a good bit, he said that 2 of the 3 square pins that turn the large nut or bushing were bent the opposite direction and being that I only have one left it was slipping. Is this common and how do I go about fixing.
