2000 Mercury 115 2-stroke

My merc 115 sometimes has trouble idling. Problem is, sometimes it runs & idles fine, sometimes it won't hardly run at all, and when you put in gear it will go dead. Is it time to rebuild carbs? Do I need to rebuild all or just the 2 that send fuel at idle? Do I need to rebuild or just clean the low speed jets? Need help here.

The carbs are the most common problem. I would clean all the carbs.

I have the same engine/same problem. Which carbs/cylinders are responsible for idling on this engine. Mine is a 1999.
