Default 1996 Mercury 150 EFI Lower Unit Oil Capacity
Got a question, me and a buddy changed out the oil on his 98 150 Mercury efi recently and it took almost a full quart. Changed the oil on my 96 150 Mercury efi and it took less than half of that. Is that normal? I drained it completely and filled it until it started coming out the vent.

The 1.87:,2.00:1 and 2.30:1 ratio gearcase holds 22.5 oz of gear oil.
The 1.78:1 ration holds 21.0 oz
