When I tilt my motor all the way up then put all my weight on the prop or skeg the motor will begin to move down. As it does this I can hear the trim motor running slowly. I'm assuming the pressure is forcing fluid through the pump and the motor sound is the motor being forced to turn backward. About 2/3 of the way down it will stop. If I don't put any weight on it, it stays up forever. A mechanic told me this is a safety feature that prevents you from trimming the motor up out of the water and overheating the unit. Is there anyone out there that could try this and see if theirs does this?
