1996 225hp Lower Unit - Mercury Marine Parts Forums

When I put the unit in gear and spin the prop manually, it clicks. In neutral it spins freely, no clicking.

I pulled the water pump off and the some of the rubber blades where facing backwards. One of the bolts twisted off with hardly any torque applied. I can't get the drive shaft off, but I have never tried to pull one out before.

Any ideas?
