Default 1974 650

I am working on a 1974, 3 cylinder Merc 65 hp. The timing pointer is not with the engine, and the decals are missing from the flywheel. Does anyone know what the flywheel position would be when using a dial indicator on the number one piston. How many thousandths before top dead center would the piston need to be when alingening the mark on the distributor with the mark on the bracket that holds the distributor?

Default Mercury 650 timing

My 650 has a timing sticker on the powerhead that says .125 or 23 degrees BTDC hope that helps someone. This unit is hard to find info on.
