Default 1967 Merc 110 Stuck in Forward

Hi Guys,

I changed the impeller in my motor last year, and when I put it back together, it was stuck in forward!! DOH! So I got tired of trying and put it away for the season....

well...now I'm trying to get it going again. So I fiddled with it tonight. I tried adjusting the gear box manually (with the lower unit dropped) and changing the shift lever position, and couldn't get it to work right in any combination. I did manage to get it stuck in neutral now though.

So does anybody have any ideas of what I can do to fix this??

Thanks a lot!!
Scott

May have the shift shaft alignment off, take lower unit back off and set both lower unit and gear shift in neutral and reassemble lower unit.
