Just purchased a used 25hp merc and am aware that they have a thermostat, but wanting to know when the thermostat opens up and has a ggod flow of water coming out, how hot should the water be ? It feels quiet warm, is this normal ?

u can install a temp guage
u should be able to touch the engine without being burned
